The Pepper Sweet Romaine, 'Capsicum annum', produces a rainbow of pepper colors in your garden and on your table. Romaine Peppers are sweet and full flavored. They are perfect for salads, grilling or roasting. Romaime Peppers start out ivory-colored , turn orange, then mature to red. All three color stages can appear at one time. This pepper plant is a prolific producers. Peppers use quite a bit of water but prefer to be watered deeply and not too often.
